Study at Elmira College

The Study was built for Mark Twain by Susan and Theodore Crane in 1874, so that the author would have a place to write undisturbed. In 1952, the building was moved to the campus of Elmira College. It is open to the public daily from mid-June through Labor Day and by appointment throughout the rest of the year. For an appointment, call (607) 735-1941.
